First SNOW of the year!

We hiked up at Brighton earlier this month to see the first snow of the year.
Otie LOVES being thrown in the air- and for some reason calls it the "ok game". Unfortunately for him, my upper body strength is a bit lacking so he's stopped asking me.

Fall fun

I love fall. I love it for a lot of reasons but mostly because it means that snow will be falling soon. For some reason, I especially like treats in this season. Every night after both kids are asleep, I always like to sit and enjoy some yummy treat- usually warm cookies and milk or the last 3 nights have been carmel popcorn. Why I am blogging about this, I don't know. Here's what we've been up to lately...

4 months

We just went to the Dr. for our 4 month and 2 year check-ups. It is interesting for me to read back in the blog about how Otie was at 4 months. He was rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy and was almost 16 lbs. Milly is showing no signs of rolling whatsoever. I'm hoping this means that Milly will be a little slower than Otie was crawling and walking.
13lbs 13 oz and 25"
Milly is an absolute joy. She is mellow and smiley. Of course she has her fussy moments, but she has been a champ of a sleeper. Since she was a month old she's been doing at least 6 hr stretches at night and last night she slept 10 hours!! I wish I could take credit for this, but I did the exact same thing with Otis and he didn't sleep this well until he was 7 or 8 months. She has recently found her voice and makes noise all day. Otis always asks me what she's saying.

Harvest

It has been so fun having a garden this year. Otis loves to get a bowl, put on his boots and go pick "ponatoes".
We enjoyed lots of fresh salsa
Thanks to my sister at Tasty Sensations we roasted these and made delicious pasta sauce

Waterskiing with Morgans

We went waterskiing with Joe, Wendy and Nanny a few weeks ago. Otis loves them all and was in heaven on the boat. As he was going to bed that night I could hear him singing (to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus") "The Joe-Joe's on the bus say, I Love Wendy". I don't know how he comes up with these things.

I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven waterskiing, I hadn't been since I had Milly and the water was PERFECT

Ready for winter

She wanted me to add a pom pom. How could I say no to this face?
I decided to make Milly a beanie last night to get her pumped for the upcoming ski season. She can't wait.

Impromptu songs

Otis is constantly singing- and he has a better voice than me or Tyler. I love the quick switch to another song then my favorite is when he blows on her face.
