First day of Nursery (pre-school).

Otis is going to a nursery called LJS 3 mornings a week. It's at a Liberal Jewish Synagogue. So far he is LOVING it. Here are pics from his first day.

I decided to document his journey to school because he looked so cute on the bus with all the people going to work.

He is not capable of passing a stick without picking it up and using it as some kind of weapon

Otie's birthday party

We celebrated Otie's birthday a few weeks ago at St. Johns Wood chruch grounds. It has his favorite park. Otis LOVES to answer how old he is by holding up these 3 fingers.
Otis and Ollie. Otis has met his match here. They are constantly tackling each other and wreaking havoc everywhere they go together. People often comment that they have never seen kids play as rough as they do together.
I'm not going to win any awards for the most creative and beautiful spread at a birthday party. I didn't have individualized water bottle covers or party favors. But it was stress free and we all had a great time.

Le Tour de France

On a Saturday morning in July we sat eating breakfast and were talking about how exciting it was that the final day of the Tour de France was the next day. Then we realized how close we actually were to it and decided we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go. So we scrambled and jumped in a taxi and less than 2 hours later we were on a train making our way to Paris for a quick one night stay!
We had a great spot to watch the race where they passed us 7 times in the final laps. It was so exciting to wait for them to come flying around the corner.
We came across this amazing nature art exhibit
This picture pretty much sums up my life right now.
We found a Mormon church on Sunday morning and it ended up being the highlight of the trip for me. I always love to meet members of the church in different countries.

The Louvre
I don't know who's kid that is, but I don't think he's supposed to be climbing there

Out and about town

On of my favorite things about London is the parks. Because most people don't have yards, the parks are always packed with people. This is Primrose Hill. We live really close and love to spend Sunday afternoons there. Otis can be found in the back right about to plow into some people with his scooter. Milly is obsessed with this stroller.
This is my view most days. Otie's scooter is not just a toy, but a mode of transport. He clocks some serious miles on it and has learned quickly to stop when asked and stay with me.
Just another business man on the tube
poor Milly in the back of that stroller- I had to snap a picture because she's such a good sport
We love the London Zoo. This is the snake cage where the Harry Potter scene is filmed where Harry talks to the snake.
We went to the Natural History Museum for a special dinosaur exhibit that they have going on and it was really cool. The building itself is so beautiful and ornate.
We don't know these people, but Otis was more interested in her book than posing for a picture

Don't touch my BRUH-ZER!!

Otis will snatch her toys, clothes-line her at full speed, head butt her and more. But anyone else try that and they better watch out. He's very protective of his "bruh-zer" (no matter how many times we tell him that she is, in fact, his sister- it hasn't quite stuck yet. It's only been 15 months). But they do have fun together...
Peek-a-boo on the tube
stopping for some fruit on our way home
*Thank you to my great friend (who I miss!) at LouLou Photography for taking these pics!
Soft hugs are a work in progress in our house
happy to report that this room now has a place to sit!!
Milly is lucky to have him. And he is lucky to have her.

Docklands Museum

This was a great museum for kids and I loved it too! Otis has a new fascination with pirates now. I took the kids here when we were in Canary Wharf.
It had a great interactive area for kids

And they had a backpack for kids to take around with little activites and things to look for in the museum. The binoculars ended up being the only thing he cared about the whole time we were there.

Last night of....

sleeping on the floor
eating on the floor
and being completely adorable on the floor
After 11 weeks and ridiculous delays, our furniture is finally coming tomorrow morning!!
* Let the record show that Tyler is conveniently out of town again as he was when I had to move all our stuff out of our temporary housing...but I'm not holding a grudge or anything
