Loving the snow

We went sledding at Sugarhouse with some of our buddies. Ruby even let Otie take her skis for a test drive (unfortunately we learned that he's not quite ready to love these- but he will soon enough).

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

I finally finished Otie's stocking- but don't look too close, it looks like it has two heels and is totally mishapen
Luckily they make shatter-proof ornaments because Otis throws these around the house all day

The lights at temple square are amazing

My own "Jingle Bells"

My sister thought it was time for me to make this announcement so she wrote this song:

"Dashing to the John
Every hour or two I go
Barfing three months straight
Certainly not great

Jeans are getting tight
My oven has a bun
Oh what fun it is to say
Trimester one is done!

Oh! Pregnancy! Pregnancy!
I hate your stinking guts!
I feel like crap, I need a nap
Not even halfway done..."

Due early June 2010. Even though pregnancy is not good to me, we are so grateful to have baby number 2 on the way and excited that Otie is going to be a big brother!

Thanksgiving

We made these fun oreo turkeys at Nicole and Molly's this month. Unfortunately Otie knocked ours to the ground right after this picture so we didn't get to take it home. But it was fun!
We went to California for Thanksgiving with my mom's family. It was so fun.
I love this picture because I'm intently watching people surf while my child downs a bucket of sand
snuggling for movie night
All the ladies at the pier

Caitlin Creer Interiors

My good friend Caitlin is a very talented interior decorator. She found a great chair for our house. You can see a picture of it at her blog. I've been wanting to put some pictures up of our house since we moved in but have never gotten around to it, so we'll start with this one!

If you need help decorating I highly recommend her. Check out her blog, it's amazing to see what this girl can do on a budget!

Today I'm thankful for...

My sisters are such over achievers and always putting me to shame in the spiritual department. They are both blogging this month about what they are grateful for each day. I know there is no way I would remember to do it every day, but I thought I'd at least do it one day while the little man is sleeping.

Today I'm thankful for good weather and fresh air. There is nothing like waking up to blue skies and crisp air after a rain storm over night. Can't wait to see snow again this weekend.

I'm also thankful for a sleeping baby right now. His favorite words this week have been "no!" and "mine!". Very fun. He certainly is turning into an independent little toddler. At the post office today he turned around and snatched someone's keys that dropped and when they tried to get them back he pointed his finger at them and said, "NO! Mine". Then he handed them right back and sweetly said, "hi". Love that little stinker to pieces.

Sunvalley

We went to Sunvalley for a long weekend a few weeks ago with Winston and Candace. We had such a blast. It was so fun and relaxing.I had to steal a few pictures off of their blog because I only took one pic the whole time
Otie and Candace
I love this picture of Winston and Candace so I decided to steal this one too. We love them. Otie was depressed the morning we got home when they weren't there to play with.

Virginia is for lovers

We had the best time visiting the Maxfield's in VA. Owen and Otie are now best friends. The trip was a perfect combo of fun activities, relaxing and of course, whenever you stay at Heidi's house you eat like a king.matching skeletons
Richmond Folk Festival.
Owen has the best dance moves I have ever seen. Otie was a little more reserved
one of the many face-offs over a toy

Bath time
We LOVED the Richmond zoo. All the animals had very natural habitats- hardly any cages. Otie loved feeding the giraffes. This looks like the giraffe is eating his hand- oops.
Love that long black tongue- reminds me of some old dental hygiene patients
O trying to sneak a coke at the zoo. Like father, like son.
Digging for dinos at the Children's museum
After a long plane ride, a few sleepless nights and a messed up nap schedule, I may have threatened the I would never make the trip again. But I didn't mean it, Richmond is now my top U.S. destination and I'm already planning my next trip.

D.C. in a day

It was quite an adventure making the 2 hour (3 hours in traffic as we found out) drive to D.C. with 3 little ones. But it was so worth it.sisters at the White House
Playing at the American History Museum- this has such a fun area for kids

Patiently waiting for the next museum
Taking a break at the reflection pool at Lincolns Monument
Otie was so thrilled to meet Dumbo

BFF's at the Washington Monument

Session with Caroline

The amazing Caroline took these pictures of Otie. I love how they turned out. You know you have a good photographer when you get pictures you like of a kid that seems to only want to eat dirt and rocks when there is a camera around.

Summer hiking

I stole this picture from the amazing photographer Molly

I can't believe summer has come and gone. I loved being back in the Utah mountains this summer, but I was SO happy to wake up and see snow this morning- it gave me butterflies. I'm so excited to be in Utah this winter. Here are a few pics of some fun hikes and other randoms from the summer.

We were totally unprepared this day. It was freezing cold in the mountains and the only thing I had in my car to keep O warm was this towel. So we didn't last to long.
Love the loop around Silver LakeLucky for Tyler, Otie only likes to ride on Mommy's back. I think everyone should carry a 25 pound weight when hiking, it's so much more pleasant
Otie loves petting zoos. The last one we went to he kept putting his face right up to the animals and saying "hi". But he ends up trying to gouge their eyes out eat their food so we can't stay long.
Not as excited about the pony rides
