Jackson Hole

Oh how I love a girls trip! I love these girls with all my heart. I love that they love my kids and will let me bring my baby on a ski trip and help me take care of her so I can join in the fun.
Milly and Lily were initiated into the girls ski trip club and they loved it

We pretended we were staying at the Four Season Hotel on the resort so we could hang out with the girls in the lobby while we waited for our turn. Even if we weren't staying there, who could turn these little ladies away?

Milly 8 months

At 8 months Milly has turned into a food-lover. Obvious from those squishy cheeks that I love so much. Her favorite at the moment are peas. She will bang on the table if you aren't feeding her fast enough, it is so funny. I love how she uses her little thumb and pointer as pincers to get cheerios into her mouth.

She is sweet and mellow as ever and is happiest just sitting near Otie and watching him play. She is starting to get protective of toys and doesn't appreciate her brother stealing things from her. She seems to be getting close to crawling- starting to rock on all fours and reach for things. But I wouldn't mind if she held off crawling for a little while longer.

She still rocks dreadlocks on the back of her head most days and has cute little curls on one side of her head and totally straight hair on the other. It's the cutest.

Milly loves jewelry. She especially loves it when I wear necklaces while nursing and will just run her fingers along it while she eats. She loves peek-a-boo and giggles when Otie jumps around her screaming words that he's made up.

Gone are the days when Milly was a champion sleeper, but we love her anyway. She wakes up once or twice a night these days. I've been telling myself that I won't feed her in the night anymore because I don't think she's hungry but sometimes I do anyway. I know that these late night snuggles won't last forever.

For the record...

Otis is a very friendly, happy and energetic kid (As I write this he is naked, jumping on my back squeezing my neck and tugging at my hair telling me he is going to put me in time out). And I am ignoring him because I do need a time out of my own. A lot of people at church and other places often ask me the same question, "Is he always this fun and happy?"

NO. The answer is NO. I have spent the last hour cleaning poop off every bar and crevice of the crib and toddler pictured above. I was enjoying a cupcake all to myself celebrating that both kids were napping at the same time today. After almost an hour Otis started calling my name. I walked in his room to the most horrific scene of a poop-covered crib, floor and 2 year old (and for the record, this is not the first time this has happened).

After a bath and disgusting clean up job. I went downstairs to find that Otis had dumped out a tub of sour cream and was eating it off the floor. While I was cleaning that up, Otis ran up to Milly's room and jumped in her crib, waking her up. I thought I might die at that point.

I'm sure I will laugh about this adorable toddler phase one day, but today is not that day.

Performer

Milly is Otie's number 1 fan. And lucky for her, he serenades her all day long.

The circus

We went to the circus with Grandma and Mimi, it was a blast
I got Otis all excited about riding an elephant BEFORE I found out that it would cost me $10 for him to ride it for 1 minute with other random kids. Oh well, he loved it.
He was in a trance watching the tight rope walkers
Milly didn't care about the circus, she just wanted to snuggle
